The Maya Wrap Baby Sling is:

it can be used as a harness, shopping cart strap, lightweight blanket

can be adjusted independently, allowing a perfectly customized fit.

tail of our baby sling will allow large people to wear it. The lack of
padding allows it to be tightened enough to fit small people.

which will allow Mom to cover herself when nursing. Mom can drape the
tail of the Maya Wrap Baby Sling over her shoulder for complete
coverage.
- Safe - Our Sling has been tested and can
withstand in excess of 100 lbs (35 lbs is recommended carrying weight
limit).
- Long lasting - The Maya Wrap Baby Sling
can be used while you child grows from infant to toddler (35

The only difference between Sling sizes is the
length. Each size is 6" longer than the previous size. A medium Sling
will fit most people, both moms and dads. Even if dad is larger, he
won't need the longer tail for breast feeding coverage.
Because the medium sling will fit most people, we
only stock the baby slings in this size. If you would like a different
size, please contact us.

About the Maya Wrap Baby
Sling Fabrics:
Maya Wrap Baby Carriers are sewn from 100% cotton,
hand loomed fabric. (The Color Grown cotton is machine loomed.)
Fabric 28 is woven from color
grown cotton. The fabric color is the cotton’s natural color and
is not dyed. Color Grown cotton is significantly more expensive than
dyed cotton, this is reflected in a higher price for the Color Grown
cotton Baby Sling.
No thread is guaranteed colorfast. The Maya Wraps
are pre-washed so the color should not bleed, however, we recommend
that you test your Maya Wrap before you first use it by pressing a
moist white cloth or cotton ball against it. This is especially true if
you have ordered fabrics 22.
The Maya Wrap company has a certificate from Thai manufacturer stating
that the dyes used to make Maya Wrap Baby Carriers do not contain any
copper, nickel, lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt, aluminum, arsenic,
chromium or any other poisonous substance.

Maya Wrap and Fair Trade
When we carry items at Eden & Eve that are
manufactured in countries outside the U.S.A, Canada and Europe, we try
to ensure that they are fairly traded. This is what Maya Wrap has to
say about the production of their Baby Slings:
“It is Maya Wrap company policy that all
those involved in the production of Maya Wraps are paid a fair wage in
the local context, have healthy and safe working conditions, and are at
least 16 years of age. To verify this, the president of Maya Wrap,
Susan, visits Guatemala every year and goes to the places where our
fabrics are weaved, laundered, and products sewn. The children of
all those involved with making Maya Wraps are in school. Some of the
artisan's children help their fathers but it is in the context of doing
chores and not child labor. The artisans who prepare the yarns
and set up the looms support their families well by local standards.
The weavers make less but are still fairly compensated. Maya Wraps are
not sewn in a maquiladora. The youngest employee at the sewing facility
is in his 20s.”
